In June the Scots Fiddle Festival had a fundraising concert, performing was Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas with support from myself and Mark Neal. As part of the fundraising, I decided to compose a tune which was auctioned online and at the concert itself and it surprised me how many people bid from all parts of the world. In the end Andrew Johnson who lives in Edinburgh was the highest bidder.
I got a few friends involved in a new recording of the tune (I put a simple version of it up to let people hear it while the bidding was going), for this recording I had Mark Neal on guitar, Allan MacDonald on bodhrán, Siannie Moodie on clàrsach.
Last night I visited Andrew and his family to give them the tune and played it for them too.
If you would like the sheet music you can download it from the 'shop & free tunes' page on this site.
